Does uploading a spreadsheet immediately change my assessment?

No. Uploading creates a staged import for review. Nothing is written to an assessment until you approve the staged import.

Does CMMCTrack store my uploaded workbook?

No. CMMCTrack reads workbook values for parsing and does not store the workbook as a file. It keeps normalized staged rows and basic import details needed for review.

Can I import an old spreadsheet I already use?

Yes. User-owned trackers are accepted, but unclear rows or values are flagged for human review instead of guessed. The CMMCTrack template is still the most reliable path.

Why was my file rejected?

Common reasons are that the file is not .xlsx, is larger than 10 MB, contains macros, is password protected, contains external links or connections, is empty, or is for the wrong CMMC level.

Should I upload evidence or CUI in the spreadsheet?

No. Do not upload CUI, evidence files, screenshots, network diagrams, credentials, or sensitive client data in the spreadsheet.
